This is a new series, although I am ´borrowing´ some drawings I did in peaceful Nova Scotia in Summer 2013, and others done in Can Serrat, near Barcelona in Spring 2013, and as it were, washing them in the sea.
For me, a dip in the ocean is almost always restorative, and so this work refers to restoration. The desire to bring everything and wash all of it in the sea also touches on forgiveness and forgetfulness. With some help – (thanks Ben!) – old ploughs were literally dug out of the bushes in Lapland, Nova Scotia for me to draw.
